Geneverse Solar Generator HomePower ONE PRO review – Reliable app-controlled backup power from the Sun!
REVIEW – As summer comes to a close and the days get shorter it’s time for me to gather and clean all of my outdoor gear and store it for next season. Usually, as I put my gear back into storage I do quick assessments of things I need to replace or upgrade. One item I definitely need to find a spare for is my Goal Zero Yeti 1000 Core Portable Power Station, which I reviewed almost a year ago today as I write this. I don’t need to replace or upgrade the Goal Zero though, in fact, it’s become so invaluable to me that I need to find a second power station like it to use at home so I can dedicate my Goal Zero to year-round outdoor duty.
Using the Goal Zero along with the FlexSolar 120W Foldable Solar Panel Kit which I reviewed back in April, has opened up a world of possibilities and made my outdoor living this summer quite enjoyable. The problem is that I’ve been using the Goal Zero in my apartment as well as sort of a makeshift Uninterruptible Power Source (UPS) on my workbench. Lugging the hefty Goal Zero back and forth has been a pain so I started looking for other options. It turns out the Geneverse Solar Generator HomePower ONE PRO was exactly what I was looking for, and so much more. The price is quite high at 2599 but for all that, the Geneverse system delivers it’s well worth it.
What is it?
The Geneverse Solar Generator HomePower ONE PRO is a system made up of a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery power station, two 200W monocrystalline portable solar panels, and an 8mm power adapter to connect everything together.
The Geneverse Solar Generator HomePower PRO Series power station comes in several different configurations. The one I reviewed includes the Geneverse HomePower ONE PRO Backup Battery Power Station, two Geneverse SolarPower 2 Portable Solar Panels, and a Geneverse 2-to-1 Converter.
The packaging for the Power Station and Solar Panels is quite substantial.
The boxes have photos of the products on them as well as detailed descriptions of their features.
Strong foam protects all of the sensitive components of the system during shipping as well as an exterior shipping box.

Design and features
The design of the Geneverse HomePower ONE PRO Power Station and the SolarPower 2 Portable Solar Panels is intuitive, functional, and quite appealing.
Sleek, black, and futuristic looking, I’ve found that both the Power Station and the solar panels for the Geneverse Solar Generator HomePower ONE PRO excel in both form and function.
The top of the power station is strong, textured black molded plastic.
There are four indentations on the top of the Power Station to allow for stacking multiple units securely.
The face of the Geneverse Solar Generator HomePower ONE PRO power station houses a high-quality display screen, a built-in LED light, and buttons for both their operation.
There are also seven power output ports; the DC ports, two USB-A, two USB-C, and the AC ports, three 120V standard power outlets. Both the AC and DC power ports have buttons to activate them. The Power Station has a Pure-Sine Wave inverter which regulates the energy output and ensures that the unit charges smoothly.
On either side of the power station, there are integrated carrying handles and vents for the internal fans.
The back of the Geneverse Solar Generator HomePower ONE PRO power station has a small rubber lid covering the unit’s input ports. One great feature of the Power Station is that it can be used during charging to charge other devices simultaneously.
There are two 8mm ports for charging from the solar panels or a car charger and a 3-pin 120V port for charging from a standard power outlet.
The power station comes with an 8mm to 12V charging plug cable for charging from a car.
For charging from a standard outlet the power station comes with a standard 120V to 3-pin power cable.
Also included with the system is an 8mm 2-to-1 converter for connecting two solar panels to the back of the power station. Using two converters allows up to four solar panels to be connected to the Geneverse Solar Generator HomePower ONE PRO power station. To speed up solar charging the power station has an internal Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) charge controller which helps it get the most efficient solar charge possible.
The SolarPower 2 Portable Solar Panels are just as well-designed and striking as the Geneverse HomePower ONE PROpower station with an integrated handle and protective carrying case.
The case snaps securely to itself through the carrying handle built into the panel.
Strong rubberized zippers close the case around the panels to keep them safe from damage.
Despite the relatively compact size of the panels in the carrying case, they are impressively large when unfolded.
Small magnets embedded along the edges of the panels help to keep them folded whether in the case or not.
The edges also have strong grommets for hanging the panels during use.
Both solar panels come with a 10-foot (3m) 8mm output cable.
On the back of the solar panels is the port for the output cable, protected when not in use by a small rubber plug.
Connected to the back of the panels are three long, adjustable legs. The legs are attached to the panel with elastic strips.
The further out you pull the legs the larger the angle of the panels. This is especially useful for getting the best position for optimizing the sun’s energy.
Setting up the Geneverse Solar Generator HomePower ONE PRO is as simple as connecting it to a power source. I chose to charge the power station initially from the SolarPower 2 Solar Panels using the included 2-to-1 converter.
Once I connected the converter to the power station I then connected the output cables from the solar panels.
I made sure that the panels were getting as much sunlight as possible and let the sun do its job.
After setting up the Geneverse Solar Generator HomePower ONE PRO power station to charge from the solar panels and starting with a 9% charge, the display on the device indicated it would be about six hours to a full charge.
I made sure to move the panels when needed to track the sunlight.
Sure enough after about four and a half hours, the power station reached 100% charge, a full ninety minutes faster than the display originally indicated. I was really impressed with how quickly the unit charged.
I quickly put the power station to good use powering the portable AC unit in my apartment. I chose the AC unit because it’s one of the more demanding appliances in terms of power.
Both the power station’s display and the Geneverse app confirmed my assumption, estimating that the AC unit would only be powered for a little more than an hour. Along with showing the charge level of the power station, the Geneverse app also allows you to control any of the inputs or outputs. By using the app I was able to turn my AC unit on and off extending the time it was powered significantly.
The app is really well-designed and has more options for configuring the Geneverse Solar Generator HomePower ONE PRO power station for the most efficient use. Changing charging modes and turning on the Battery Saving Mode can really help prolong the life of the unit as well as optimize the power it provides.
As the Geneverse Solar Generator HomePower ONE PRO power station’s battery drained I started receiving errors via the app when the AC would lose power. I was not able to determine exactly what the code meant though and recharged the power station via a standard power outlet in my apartment once its power level fell to 5%.
Along with the AC unit, I tested the power station by using it to power my CPAP machine, charge my laptop and cell phone, and run a small weather radio. I tried to simulate the devices I’d most likely have to keep powered in an emergency. The HomePower ONE PRO worked exactly as it was designed to, keeping everything charged and running as long as I used them conservatively.
With an overall capacity of 1210Wh the power station should be able to provide up to seven days of emergency power to certain devices and home appliances and my testing appear to confirm that. Another aspect of the power station that inspires confidence is that when fully charged, the Geneverse HomePower ONE PRO can store and hold the power for at least a year.
After using the Geneverse Solar Generator HomePower ONE PRO for about a month I can honestly say that I’ve found a counterpart to my Goal Zero Yeti 1000 Core. In a lot of ways, the Geneverse surpasses the Goal Zero, especially when you consider the Geneverse’s app functionality, Solar Panel charging power, and excellent compact design. I’ll definitely be putting both of these units to good use whether at home or out on my next adventure.
The Geneverse Solar Generator HomePower ONE PRO is an incredibly powerful and versatile system. With or without the system’s SolarPower 2 Solar Panels, the HomePower ONE PRO excels in uses ranging from RVing, camping, and overlanding to disaster preparedness and home backup power. The 2599 price might seem high, but it’s a good deal taking into account all of the well-designed components bundled in the Solar Generator package along with the ability to control the system from an app. The internal MPPT Charge Controller for instance significantly increases charging time from the massive Solar Panels. The biggest bonus of all though is that the Geneverse Solar Generator HomePower ONE PRO’s powerful functionality comes packaged in a very well thought out, compact, and modern design that fits right into any home.

Jackery Explorer 500 Review: Best Portable Solar Generator?
Jackery invented lithium portable power stations, and the Explorer 500 is one of their best selling portable power stations. But is it really worth buying for all campers out there?
I love camping. Whether it’s at festivals, campsites, or the middle of nowhere, I love to just get in my car and go explore the great outdoors.
With that said, I still love my digital comforts. After a long day of looking at nature, I want to watch some shows on my tablet or play some music on my Bluetooth speakers.
Last time I checked, Mother Nature doesn’t have outlets on the side of trees, so I needed to find a decent portable power station — preferably one that was environmentally friendly.
After a couple of misfires, I eventually got my hands on the Jackery Explorer 500 and was able to try it out.
What Is The Jackery Explorer 500?
The Jackery Explorer 500 portable power station that can store and deliver electricity as per your need. While we label them as solar generators sometimes, it can’t generate electricity.
This mini power station is great for — camping, exploring, and living off-the-grid, or during power outages at home caused by natural disasters and extreme weather conditions. In short, this could be the best (at least one of the best) portable solar generators for RV.
It has multiple outlets to power a range of devices, as well as a 2-inch LCD display that tells you exactly how full the battery is.
You can charge the Jackery Explorer 500 portable power station either from a household power outlet, your car’s cigarette lighter charger, or through solar panels.
Obviously, here at GreenCitizen, we would suggest using solar panels to be more environmentally friendly.
Jackery actually makes their own to go along with this power station — the foldable SolarSaga 100W Solar Panel Kit.
The Jackery Explorer 500 portable power station comes with:
As you can see, the Jackery power station has over 500W of power capacity and gives you multiple options for power outlets of different types.
What Can The Jackery Explorer Power?
As the name suggests, the Explorer 500 has 500 watts of power, which means it’s best for powering smaller devices like cell phones, cameras, laptops, and small TVs.
The device you’re using must draw 500W or less (you can find this information on the cable).
Also, the Explorer 500 will automatically shut off if you try to plug in a device that draws more than 500W, such as a hairdryer or an electric kettle.
Usually, if an appliance heats itself up quickly, like a coffee maker or a toaster, then it probably uses more than 500W of power.
How Do You Charge A Jackery Portable Power Station?
There are 3 ways to charge the Jackery Explorer 500 —
The 500 comes with cables for household charging and car charging, but you need to buy solar panels separately if you’re going to go down the green route.
How Long Does It Take A Jackery To Charge?
How long it takes this power station to charge depends on the charging method you’re using.
So, I’ll break it up into the 3 main charging methods and how fast they work:
How Do You Keep Track Of The Jackery Explorer 500’s Charge?
The Explorer 500 comes complete with one 2-inch backlit digital display that tells you the battery percentage, the input/output in watts, and the battery temperature.
Jackery Explorer 500 Benefits
Plugs In Multiple Devices Simultaneously
The Explorer 500 has multiple outlets and USB ports, so it’s possible to charge several smaller devices at the same time depending on the power connections they require.
I love this because I can just charge my phone and tablet with the USB slots while charging my laptop via the 110V AC outlet. I can leave them all charging in my tent, go for a long walk, and then return to find them all fully charged (or near enough).
This is also useful in case of an emergency during a power outage or natural disaster. That’s when I would need to charge several electronic devices at once so I can quickly ask for help if I need to. It’s a lifesaving feature, really.
Operates In High Temperature
The Explorer 500 can operate safely between the temperatures of 32-104°F (0-40°C), so it’s able to withstand the heat on very sunny days.
If you live in a hotter part of the country, it’s essential to find a portable power station that won’t die on you when the heat gets intense.
This is an important consideration these days especially with climate change, where wildfires and heat waves in many areas have become almost like a way of life for some people.
The Explorer even has low-power cooling fans that kick in when things get heated. What’s great is they’re very quiet, so they won’t disturb your peace while you’re communing with nature or just trying to get a respite from the heat.
One of the best things about the Explorer is that you can charge it with solar panels.
Best to use the Jackery SolarSaga 100W foldable solar panel kit to charge the power station without burning any fossil fuels in the process.
In full sunlight, it takes around 16 hours for a full charge that doesn’t harm the environment.
For quicker charging option, you can connect multiple solar panels. If you’re an avid camper, you can get a portable solar panel too.
Compact Size and Portability
I don’t know if you’ve ever tried to take a generator camping with you, but it’s a pain in the butt.
They’re huge, heavy, and messy.
While it produces less power, it’s quite small and compact — just about the size of a handheld radio. It’s also fairly lightweight, coming in just below 14 lb, so it’s not too difficult to carry around with you in your backpack.
This also means that you can easily pack it up if you would need to, say, evacuate during an emergency or natural disaster and you need to bring backup power with you.
Built-in High Quality LED Flashlight
This power station comes with a built-in LED flashlight on the side.
This is perfect if you’re walking around late at night and your headlamp fails on you or your flashlight dies down.
It’s by no means the strongest beam of light in the world. But I’ve had it on for 12 hours straight without draining the battery by even 1%.
It’s nice to know I’ve always got a backup light source in the woods or during a blackout with this.
Digital Display Shows You The Charge
Have you ever used those portable power stations where you only have a few little blinking lights to tell you how much juice is left inside the battery?
They’re incredibly annoying and vague.
However, the Explorer 500 tells you exactly what percentage of your battery is left.
This means you’re never left in the dark wondering when your laptop or TV will shut off.
Jackery Explorer 500 Shortfalls
While I do really like this power station, there are a few downsides that need to be addressed.
For example, I have a couple of USB-C devices that I would like to charge, but the 500 only has regular USB slots, no USB-C slot! It would be nice to see some more modern connection options from this company in the future.
This power station also isn’t waterproof, so you need to be careful if you’re using this in a rainy climate. To be fair, a lot of these power stations aren’t waterproof, but it’s something you need to keep in mind.
Lastly, the little digital display turns off its backlight automatically after a few seconds.
While I understand it’s saving energy, it can be frustrating because I must physically walk over to the battery and light the screen up when I want to check the battery percentage level. Not ideal.
Other People’s Thoughts on Solar Generators Jackery
Now, I’m just one guy with his own opinions. However, many people have tried the Explorer 500 with different levels of satisfaction, including some of my own friends. Here are some other people’s thoughts:
The Explorer 500 is an excellent portable power station that’s at least 100 cheaper than the equivalent product from Goal Zero, the Yeti 500x.
Dan Carr, Writer at Shutter Muse
The Jackery Explorer 500 is a solid, well-designed product. The unit is rugged and compact with nothing on the exterior to break off or catch on nearby objects. The display shows charge level, charging wattage, and use wattage, all very handy.
El Cid, Jackery Explorer User
We like and recommend the Explorer 500 for homeowners that want a backup battery in case of power outages, and/or people that go camping on the weekends and need to be able to use a CPAP machine, laptop, or other small electronics.
Jesse, Co-Owner at The Camping Nerd
Everything works flawlessly (granted, I’ve only used for less than 6 hours), but the high-pitched whine from using the AC output is impossible to ignore.
Christopher, Jackery Explorer User
The 500 isn’t large enough to power all the components of an RV for very long. However, if you’re just looking to get away for the weekend or can stand to live full time with minimal power requirements, this can be a great option for you.
Ben Meag, Explorers at The Wild Drive
Things To Consider Before Buying A Portable Solar Generator
What Power Capacity And Wattage Do You Require?
The first thing you need to consider is how many watts you need. The amount of power that a portable power station can hold is usually measured in watts (W).
The more watts a power station has, the more electricity it is able to supply you with.
You need to take a look at your electrical devices and figure out how much power you need, whether you’re going to be using it for camping or as backup power at home in case of emergencies.
For example, a 500W power station (like the Jackery) gives you approximately 50 smartphone charges and 20 tablet charges, depending on the size.
Some electrical appliances, like hairdryers, draw a lot of power and may not work when plugged into power stations with lower power capacities.
Do You Have The Right Solar Panels?
If you’re going to charge your power portable battery with solar panels, you need to make sure that the solar panel kit is compatible with the power station you’re using.
Most campers and explorers use 100W solar panel kits that are designed to charge solar power stations.
Do You Need To Charge Multiple Devices At Once?
Some portable power stations have a limited number of inputs and outlets, so you may only be able to charge one device at a time depending on the type of power connection you need.
If you need to charge or power multiple 110V AC devices at once but your power station only has one 110V AC outlet, then you’re out of luck.
Are You Clumsy Or Heavy-Handed?
Many portable power station devices are designed to be housed in lightweight materials like plastic, as this reduces their overall weight (which is often necessary when camping).
However, the lighter your power station is, the easier it will be to damage.
If you’re clumsy or prone to throwing things around haphazardly, you could damage your power station.
How long does a portable power station last?
The life of power station batteries depends on its wattage, capacity, and what you’re using it for. If you’re looking to use a few basic things such as a small TV, a couple of lights, and charge your electronic devices, you’re usually looking at around 4-8 hours of battery life.
Who owns Jackery?
Jackery is owned by a former Silicon Valley Apple Engineer who worked on designing batteries for Apple smartphones. They launched the company in 2012 and by 2015 the company sold the world’s first Lithium Power Station.
Is Jackery a lithium battery?
Yes, all Jackery power products use lithium batteries because they’re lightweight and can hold a lot of charge. They were actually the first company to produce off-grid lithium batteries back in 2015.
Can I take a Jackery on a plane?
Generally speaking, you can take Jackerys on planes so long as they’re in your carry-on bag and not your checked luggage. However, there are conflicting reports of some people having their devices confiscated by airport security, so do your research for the regions you’re traveling to and from.
How does a portable power station work?
A portable power station works by taking in energy, storing it, and then allowing you to plug in appliances or charge electronic devices with the stored energy. The devices can usually be charged via a home AC outlet, a car charger, or specialized solar panels.
Can Jackery 500 power a mini fridge?
Yes, this generator from Jackery can power a common mini fridge.
The Jackery Explorer 500: Should You Buy It?
If you’re a casual camper or you just like the idea of having backup energy in your home when a power cut hits, then I would recommend you try the Jackery Explorer 500.
However, if 500W just isn’t enough juice for you, you could try the Jackery Explorer 1000 instead for twice the wattage.
I’ve had a lot of problems with small power stations that don’t give you much information to work with, so I was really happy when I found the Explorer.
Now I know exactly where I’m up to with my battery life and the input/output display means I don’t have to worry that I’m pushing it too hard with the wattage.
Next time you’re going camping or experiencing a blackout, I’d recommend using an Explorer 500.

When you think about camping and you’re gonna go out there on a consistent basis. Do you want to have dependable power for your RV? Then a small portable generator like a Honda EU2200i will last you a lifetime, and you can also converted to either gas or propane tank! Where, with any of these battery supported solar generators you can only recharge them 500 times. Then your investment is gone. If you only plan on camping, or using it maybe a couple dozen times a year well then maybe you’d get 20yrs use, but they are so new on the market. No one knows how long they will really last. Same goes for Goal Zero. And another thing one and thing is by American, we’re goal zero is made in America, and Jackery is manufactured in The Peoples Republic of China. Which more Americans should be thinking about, we will eventually be at war with them over Taiwans sovereignty, the whole world is heating up, so one must prepare for it. Your best bet is to have both solar back up generator and solar panels, and a convertible, gas generator you can run on propane, and some of them offer conversions to run off of natural gas from your home
I have one of these with the solar panels. The fan kicks in every couple of minutes on anything drawing 25 watts and above and permanently on anything above around 75 watts and its not a quiet fan. I’ve contacted Jackery about this but so far I’ve just been passed from pillar to post despite doing everything they asked, resetting, sending them videos etc. I’m fairly certain the fan shouldn’t be coming on as it does and I’d quite like them to fix it, they were quick enough to take my money. It does the same regardless of ambient temperature.
Definitely, I am going to buy a new one. Love this review

Removable / Expandable Battery
The battery is removable and expandable. This innovative approach will give you greater portability and flexibility in what you can power with your solar generator. By simply adding more battery packs you can expand or replace your batteries quickly and easily. By separating the battery from the other components, you can easily carry each component.
Dual MPPT Charge Controllers (2000 watts total) with a wide voltage range
With the Titan, we only used quality, reliable components. For example, most solar generators use cheap, low quality charge controllers that cannot step the voltage down to produce high amps. Most don’t allow for voltages over 30-50 volts. The Titan on the other hand, can take up to 145 volts. This means your solar panel wires will have very low amps running through them making them much more efficient (they will be cool to the touch where others will be very hot). It also makes wiring up your solar panels much easier and safer.
00 Watt Hour Lithium Battery
The 2000 watt hour lithium battery is one of the largest available in solar generators. It is about twice the capacity of similar systems, with a life span of 10 years.
Fast AC Charging 400 Watts Standard; up to 1450 watts with two 25A chargers
With the Titan we will include one powerful AC charger that will charge your battery pack in around 3 hours (5 1/2 hours if you choose the 14A charger). Other systems on the market can take up to 24 hours. You can also add a second charger to double the charging power (for when you have more than one battery).
00 Watt High Efficiency Inverter
The 3000 watt pure sine wave inverter is extremely powerful- twice as powerful as comparable solar generators. However, it is extremely efficient with a no load power draw of as low as 5 watts, and efficiencies up to 92%! Generally, the larger the inverter the more power it uses just to run- like a large truck burns more gas than a small car. This is comparable to having a 500 HP race car getting better fuel mileage than a geo metro.
We have designed the Titan solar generator to be compatible with nearly every battery type (24V). The Titan Solar Generator uses a lithium Ion battery with a voltage range of 20V to 29.4V (only charged to 29.2V). With this setup, it works perfectly with a 24V LiFePo4 (19.2V to 29.2V) and a led acid battery (20V to 29.2V).
As you can see there is virtually no difference between the 3 batteries voltage range, so they can be used together without any changes to the charging profile without damaging any battery. Note: Any battery connected to the system must be charged to the same voltage as other batteries in the system. See the manual for more instructions.

Introducing the Titan Solar Power Generator
reviews for Titan
I purchased one of the first units out and it’s still performing well, no issues! I would recommend an extra battery. To be able to upgrade and stack multiple batteries is a great feature of this unit. I live in the US Virgin Islands, the bowling alley for Hurricanes. This unit helped me through Hurricane Maria, allowing me to run multiple fans during the night. It can get real hot after these hurricanes, not to mention the mosquitoes. I was able to get a good nights sleep. This is very important to deal with the aftermath of any natural disaster. Point Zero I give an A. Keep up the good work. I would like to see more US made components in their units however! Thanks Joe US Virgin Islands
Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re so happy to hear the Titan helped you in a disastrous scenario! I wish we could also help with the mosquitos
My Titan developed an issue after a couple of years use. I was amazed at the quick turnaround! You guys had it for about 48 hours and it was out the door on its way back to me. Received the Titan yesterday afternoon and immediately plugged it back in. Working great! I now have lights and use of power tools and security cameras back in my barn. You guys are the best!
We work hard to support our customers the best way we can so thank you for sharing your positive experience!
Love this soler generator and point zero energy. I accidentally overloaded my generator with too many volts which blew the system and voided my warranty. I was afraid I would get taken advantage of for the cost of repairs and shipping. I did not! Point zero energy did a fast job getting my unit repaired and back to me at a cost much appreciated. Thank you to this company for the fantastic service they provided! I highly recommend point zero energy and all their products!
Titan is a great system ! We purchased and received the Titan and two batteries in 2021. Our main application was a bit unusual since we wanted to use the system in a DIY converted Promaster van/RV. The Knowledge Base articles at Titan’s website were very helpful for acheiving a van configuration. To charge the Titan from the vehicle alternator when driving we used a Victron Orion Tr-Smart 24|12 30, DC-DC converter, and it works great. We also added 400W of solar panels for charging when camping. Other modifications we did to better match our needs were: First was to add a step-down converter (Victron, 70A) to drop the 24V output to a 12V that is more suitable for powering the lights, two refrigerators, two fans and a water pump inside the van. Second, since we had the Titan stored under the bed and the display was not easily accesible we replaced it with a Victron 712 BMV that has Bluetooth and uses a 500A shunt that replaced the original. The Victron app on the phone is very flexible and can be configured for the Titan battery. During the winter we remove the Titan from the van and store it inside the house at room temperature and at 70-80% charge. We highly recommend the Titan to other RVers.
Received my Titan in Jan. 2020, first time I used it during our Texas ‘Polar Vortex’ in Feb. 2021. Initially charged the battery in Jan. ’20, 100% remaining when checked in ’21 prior to needing it when the elec. grid went down for 24 hours. The Titan worked PERFECTLY, used it for frig., elec. blanket, recharge cell phones, lamp. No issues whatsoever. SO happy with product! Encouraged ALL in our 55 community to get one. I remind everyone that traditional generators need liquid fuel, need maintenance, have noise and exhaust issues, not so with a Titan! Great product! Keep up the good work!
Outstanding customer support! Last year I placed a pre-order just before COVID hit. In May 2020 I lost my job. Unfortunately I had to cancel my order. Point Zero Energy gave me a full refund with no hassles and very responsive. I’m just getting back to work and cant wait to place a new order! So many great reviews on the system, and such great feedback from those i know with the system. Thanks Point Zero!!
I recently received my new Titan solar generator with three batteries. I am extremely impressed with the fit and finish, the attention to detail, and the extremely high quality of the Titan. I ran a test today by cutting the main breaker off for my home and connecting the Titan via the 30 amp RV plug to a 6 circuit transfer switch. I was able to power 6 rooms in my house, and a large pond pump for 8 hours and I only used about 50% of the battery. I used two 25 amp AC chargers to recharge and it was back to 100% in just a few hours. I am also able to power my entire RV with a simple 30-50 amp RV plug adapter and it runs everything – even one air conditioner, dishwasher, washer/dryer combo, two TVs, microwave, etc. (not all at the same time). I could not be happier with this product and I would recommend it to anyone in search of the very best portable solar generator money can buy. I have also been very happy with the sales experience, customer service, and tech support I have received from Point Zero Energy. Every time I have reached out to them for anything, they get right back to me and they are always willing to help. Just like most other buyers, I had to wait four months for mine to ship, but it was well worth the wait. It is very refreshing to be able to do business with a company like this.
We’re very happy with the Titan. We have 3 batteries stacked under it and they are being recharged almost every day via Renergy solar panels and we live in Washington.
I purchased the Titan and two additional batteries. The folks at Point Zero have been MOST patient and helpful along the way as I modified my order a couple of times. Technical support is outstanding and amazingly prompt. Great company, great product, innovative features. My purpose was/is to run key household appliances and comm gear such that the load is constantly replenished by the PV panels battery, independent of local utility feed, which goes down with distressing regularity here on Northern California. The gear is really quality and works well. I paired with my own locally sourced PV panels to provide maximum generation in the smallest rooftop panel area. I highly recommend both company and product.
The unit is excellent and appears to be a quality product. the only problem was the delay in delivery but that is understandable considering the pandemic. I haven’t had a chance to use the Titan yet but I will be using it when I go south for the winter. Thank you, Point Zero, for your excellent customer service and hard work. You are a one-of-a-kind!
We bought the Titan and 2 batteries so we can boondock in our rv. Since the rv is 20 years old we didn’t want to mount all the parts of a solar unit plus extra batteries that we have no space for, on a unit that old. If our rv gets replaced we just take the Titan with us. We can also have it for a backup at home if we lose power. We recharge the batteries with the rv generator or with shore power at a campground. We are not using solar panels. We are on a trip in the rv and the Titan has worked great for 6 weeks until I hooked something up wrong and damaged the Titan. Since we were within a few hours of his facility, I called Dave and he said I could bring it there and they would look at it. Dave had one of his guys stop what he was doing and fix my problem the minute I arrived. This was not a warranty issue, nor should it be, but it is great customer service after the sale.
My Titan ran perfectly for just 5 days. I was worried when I ran into a snag in energy discharge and emailed Point Zero. I didn’t know what to expect from a relatively new company, especially after reading a negative review about service. I was happy to get a phone call within 24 hours and pleased with an immediate resolution to the problem. The personal attention, answer to questions both before and after purchase, and quick response to a problem gives me confidence Point Zero. They stand behind their product and promise. I couldn’t ask for more. I’m using the system for a seasonal RV set up. Titan runs everything I need with power to spare.
It’s nearly impossible to find a product that is engineered as well as the Titan. You can tell that Point Zero Energy thought through every detail in order to create a product that will last as well as work in a wide variety of scenarios. If you every watched a review for a “solar generator” and thought “but can it do this”, only to be disappointed by some later revealed limitation…well the Titan probably can do it!
We are super happy with both the Titan and the excellent customer service that they provided us with. They went out of their way with help for our setting it up, and on answering all of our questions. We will be purchasing more items from them as time goes on. We have a lot to learn about solar and they are the perfect company to walk us through the path of being able to camp off grid. We highly recommend them and are grateful to have found them.
My order was complete and arrived without any damage. I installed it, charged the battery and needed to call to better understand the battery meter settings and how to calibrate it. I also watched some videos on the Zero Point channel on YouTube which were very helpful. It has been a pleasure doing business with Zero Point and the people who work there. Definately 5 stars
The Titan is an excellent value. The service at Point Zero is exceptional. Previously, I have added Solar to a VW Rialta using a Goal Zero 1400 lithium. Its 1500 watt inverter worked fine for essential RV living. Refrigerator, LCD lights, water pump, laptop and cell phone. That draw only allowed for about 12 hours of reserve. Your Solar recharge was slow because the GZ 1400 hundred only comes standard (you can purchase an MPPT add on. That brings the GZ 1400 closer to 2000) with a PWM controller. In addition you could only charge with your solar panels in a less efficient parallel array. By investing just a little more than 1000 extra in a Titan, you get two MPPT controllers, the ability to attach your solar panels in a more efficient series (up to 1000 watts with a single battery) array, 2000 watts of Lithium battery, a 3000 watt Inverter that will run the big draw items like a Microwave, electric water heater ,etc. etc., and many many other benefits. To be specific, my Titan with one battery (I did purchase a second battery) will run my efficient refrigerator/4L Freezer and laptop (full time internet) for 70 hours. Amazing! Whether you are purchasing to upgrade or build an RV, or as power for your home…In my opinion, This is the best value and most efficient, beautifully designed Solar generator in the world. It will do it all. When you add the fact that Point Zero, the manufacturer of the Titan, is a family owned American company that is very pleasant and helpful to work with, this is an easy purchase you can make with confidence. At this time, I don’t work with or have any affiliation with Point Zero. I just love my Titan, and am very impressed with the customer service. Best, Louie
I am so very happy to have made this purchase. Not only does the Titan Solar Generator have the most complete and well implemented features I could find on any similar product but the post sale support has been top notch. Multiple e-mail questions have been more than helpful and responded to very quickly.
I have had the pleasure of owing a Titan for a little over two months. To say i am thrilled would be an understatement. The performance of the Titan in conjunction with the great customer service i have received makes me a very satisfied customer. Better yet, a customer for life! I have used it for plethora of jobs around the house and even succumbed to temptation and powered my entire 7.2 home theater system that includes, a receiver, Blu-ray player, seven amplifiers and two subs in addition to the flat screen and few other pieces. So far, everything i have thrown at the Titan, the Titan has handled with ease, never suffering defeat in form of a shut down. A great performer in my book and worthy of the name Titan. Kudos!
I recently received my Titan with one extra NMC battery that I purchased through poweredportablesolar.com and I am very pleased with the unit. I do have a few questions about future expandability. 1) When the LiFePo4 battery packs come out, will we be able to stack them with the NMC batteries in parallel; and 2) Can I hook up a 24V 200 ah LiFePo4 battery pack to the external battery connection on the Titan even though my two stackable batteries are NMC chemistry? Thanks again for a great product.
I am a 67 yr old grandma with no technical experience but I found the Titan very easy to set up and use. I have been using it (testing it) for 3 days now, plugging in various items that I might need in a power outage. The Titan has handled everything with ease. I am even able to lift the individual components by myself, so I feel confident I can move it around as necessary. Thanks!
So Happy with my purchase I purchased another, easy to setup and even easier to integrate into my homes generator backup
The Titan is a FANTASTIC product! What a dream come true to be able to be off grid with a system that you can plug your RV 30amp cord right into and be able to run things as if hooked up at a campground! Crazy cool! The owner and creator David is a genius and has been such a help with any questions we had. His company has friendly and knowledgable customer service reps as well when we have called. The instruction manual made set up a breeze and we are enjoying our freedom to go anywhere on our own terms by harnessing the sun through this generator. He truly thought of everything when creating the Titan. It is worth every penny in our book! Please Subscribe to my YouTube channel “Everyday Mama” to see our Titan in action this summer in our RV VLOGS. These videos are not sponsored- we just love the product and want to share all the benefits of it for RVers. We highly recommend the Titan to anyone for home use, RVers, or preppers.
Sun Joe SPX3000 Full Review | Best Electric Pressure Washer
The Sun Joe SPX3000 is one of the most popular pressure washers on the market. But is it right for you?
Electric pressure washers have recently become a popular, eco-friendly alternative to gas pressure washers. However, some people worry they aren’t powerful enough to get the job done.
Fortunately, the Sun Joe SPX3000 is a sustainable option that is powerful, easy to use, quiet, and affordable.
Below is a full review and buyer’s guide for the Sun Joe SPX3000, including its most important features and pros and cons.
Sun Joe SPX3000. Full Review and Buyer’s Guide
Sun Joe SPX 3000. Overview
The Sun Joe SPX 3000 is a fan favorite and can handle anything!
It’s perfect for cleaning all kinds of surfaces, from buildings and cars to lawnmowers and grills. The high-power motor generates enough pressure to tackle mold, mildew, grease, grime, rust and mud.
The five nozzle attachments allow you to customize the spray to clean and restore any item in your home.
Our readers love that it is easy to use, portable, and, best of all, eco-friendly and sustainable. No matter what surface you have in mind, chances are the Sun Joe SPX 3000 can get the job done.
What’s In the Box
- Sun Joe SPX3000 electric pressure washer
- 34-inch extension spray wand
- 5 quick-connect nozzle attachments
- 2 removable detergent tanks
- garden hose adapter
- high-pressure hose
The Sun Joe SPX 3000 is above average when it comes to water pressure.
Every pressure washer has a PSI (pounds per square inch). The higher the PSI, the stronger the water pressure.
The Sun Joe SPX3000 generates 2030 PSI thanks to its 1800-watt motor! That is towards the higher range and means it provides enough water pressure to clean your surfaces without causing any damage (e.g., chipping wood or creating splinters).
It also has a water flow rate of up to 1.76 GPM (gallons per minute).
Power and Performace
You can rely on the Sun Joe XPS3000 in all kinds of settings.
It doesn’t matter what kind of surface you’re dealing with, whether concrete, brick, metal, wood, or tile. It’s perfect for removing grime and grease stuck to metallic surfaces. It also helps clear away mold, rot, mildew, tar, and rust.
Our readers love the 5 quick-connect nozzle attachments. They are easy to clip on and automatically adjust the power and pressure to suit your needs.
The nozzle sizes range from 0, 15, 25, and 40 degrees. The 0-degree nozzle is the most powerful and is perfect for tough cleaning jobs like removing stubborn grease and grime. Alternatively, the 40-degree nozzle is gentler and better for furniture and fabrics.
Dual Detergent Tanks
The dual detergent tank systemis one of the Sun Joe SPX3000’s best features!
The pressure washer can carry two different types of detergent simultaneously. The two 0.9liter tanks are removable and conveniently switch between different detergents via the detergent selection dial.
Portability. Weight and Size
The Sun Joe XPS3000 is lightweight and portable. It comes with large 7.5-inch plastic wheels that make it easy to move over grass, pavement, and most surfaces. You can easily lift it using the ergonomic handle since it only weighs about 24 pounds.
It comes with a lightweight handle and wand that can extend about 34 inches, which helps you reach more places without moving the whole device. It’s perfect for two-story buildings and when you want to reach the underside of your car or truck.
Ease of Use
The Sun Joe XPS3000 comes with a convenient garden hose adaptor that’s quick, easy to use, and leak-free.
It also has a 20-foot high-pressure hose and a 35-foot power cord, making it easy to use in almost any setting.
Plus, it has Total Stop System (TSS). TSS immediately shuts off the engine when the trigger is released. The motor immediately stops as soon as you stop washing or release the trigger.
Pressure washers can be noisy, but the best models have a lower decibel level.
The great thing about the Sun Joe SPX3000 is that it’s relatively quiet. Because it’s electricity-powered, its noise level is very low compared to gas-powered washers.
It emits 83.8 decibels when standing right next to it. That is about as loud as a vacuum cleaner. You can carry out a conversation while pressure washing your car, fence, or patio.
It’s also below the 85-decibel mark which means you don’t need to wear hearing protection.
Perhaps the best feature of the Sun Joe XPS3000 is that it’s eco-friendly and sustainable. Being an electric power washer, it doesn’t use gas or fuel to work, so it doesn’t emit any fumes into the air.
This electric pressure washer also uses about 70-75% less water than a garden hose normally would. Not to mention it uses little to no chemical compounds, which helps save the environment.
