Accelerate into solar and increase your business’s bottom line with renewable energy.

Increase Your Property Value, Decrease Your Utility Bill

Clean solar energy offers nonprofit organizations and commercial property owners a low-risk opportunity to capture an attractive ROI and increase property value while switching to a clean, renewable source of electricity.

Now is the time to go solar – thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act, even nonprofits can now take advantage of the 30% federal solar tax credit and many other incentives currently available. Contact us today to learn more about the ways solar can save your organization money and bring the environmental and social benefits of joining the renewable energy future.

Solar Is Good For Your Business

Ipsun Solar provides turn-key commercial solar power solutions for businesses and nonprofits in Virginia, DC, and Maryland. Benefits include:

    • Energy Savings: Solar will save your business money every day and protect it from ever-rising utility rates
    • Solar Incentives: New federal incentives can reduce the cost of solar for your organization by up to 70%
    • Sustainability: You will be a leader in the community as you model your values, modernize your organization, and reduce your carbon footprint

The Inflation Reduction Act’s Direct Pay Provision is a Solar Game-Changer For Nonprofits

Tax-exempt organizations can now significantly benefit from solar in the tax regime introduced by the Inflation Reduction Act. The new law has unleashed not only an option to receive a cash refund of the 30%, but also increased the potential for a larger credit depending on the conditions of the project — potentially allowing up to 70% of the project’s cost to be refunded.

Better yet, it allows nonprofits to own their solar energy system, bringing other benefits of traditional solar incentives like Solar Renewable Energy Credits (SRECs), property tax exemption, various local incentives, and net metering credits. These benefits alone can add up to thousands of dollars in savings per month for a nonprofit, on top of the reduced cost of going solar brought about by the new direct pay option in the federal tax credit.

Ipsun Solar installed our solar panels, and it was the right decision for many reasons. It was easy to work with the company. from sales to installation and beyond. We have had the panels for some time now, and yet the Ipsun team continues to monitor them to ensure each is working properly. We receive regular reports of the energy generated, and our electric bills have gone down dramatically! The team members are professional, responsive, and caring. We highly recommend Ipsun for their help in making a good decision about a solid investment with a great return and for their ongoing support.

Ipson Solar worked with me and a roofing company to coordinate removal of an older obsolete system, roof preparation, and installation of a new system. All went well and on schedule and I am completely satisfied with the result.

Ipsun was great to work with setting up my Solar array. Most importantly, they’ve been great about upkeep an maintenance in the years since I’ve had it installed. They came out to fix some of the wiring when a critter ate through it and repaired the critter guard too.I just wish I had a bigger roof so I could get more kW.

I used Ipsun Solar for my system and batteries. It has been a very difficult process with many delays and mistakes. I would recommend choosing another installer. You are stuck with the installer for the life of the system. Make sure you pick a good one.I signed with them in January 2022 and was sold on the idea of an operational system in 4 months. They said because they were in a co-op they could do things quicker and in a more labor friendly way (B corp). It’s been 10 months and my system has not operated at 100% (didn’t operate at all for 3.5 months after delayed July installation). There have been many delays and mistakes directly attributable to Ipsun. It seems like the company does not communicate with itself (or it’s customers). They will promise amazing costumer service, but they under deliver. They will promise they have access to batteries and there will be no delays, but then there are equipment and labor delays. They will install your system and forget that it doesn’t work leaving you sitting for months asking for a fix. But, one thing they will do is attempt to collect payment for a system that doesn’t work (over and over and over). They will send workers out to do nothing, or to repeat completed tasks (over and over) because they have not been told a previous worker did it.You’d think a manager would have reached out to me by now. Nope.

After thinking about adding solar to our home, I finally got serious about it last spring. I contacted 5 firms and had a wide range of experience- not all good. IPSUN emerged as my solid choice. Knowledgeable sales rep, flexible, and not high pressure. I was further pleased by their engineering staff and the final solution. And then a very smooth installation day. Plus, this company is a strong advocate for solar energy and climate action. We are so pleased we selected IPSUN.

Ipsun Solar did an excellent job in every aspect of getting our 48 kilowatt solar panel system from the initial planning through permitting and installation. Their support was great and the system is performing flawlessly.

I just wanted to leave a quick review and say that Ipsun has been great to work with. From the very beginning, they were communicative and walked me through every step. Although COVID made everything a bit slower and more difficult, I basically got to sit back and let them take care of everything, which they did. When the time came for the install, the team was very quick, professional, and did a clean job, which looks great. I would not hesitate to recommend Ipsun and I am looking forward to cranking out the kilowatts.

Great and professional services, including consultation and installation! Our solar panels launched about a month ago. The Ipsun app provides sufficient information for me to check power production. I truly recommend to go solar with Ipsun Solar!

Ipsun solar was an outstanding company to work with. Every person from start to finish was enthusiastic, expert, easy to contact, very helpful, and truly professional. We would recommend this company eagerly and without hesitation!

Ipsun Solar is the best Solar provider in Virginia. I have had my system in rfor a little over a year and could not be happier with the results it provides. My average bill is about 7.50 a month during most of the year. The Enphase equipment is excellent and their program provides the ability to follow on-going collection from the panels. I recommend IPSUN to anyone who wants Solar on their home.

Mr. James at ipsun solar was more than fantastic to work with. Friendly, fast, easy processes made working with him and this company an absolute pleasure. 10/10 would recommend him to anyone who is interested in anything solar.

I work for the manufacturer of a component that Ipsun utilizes in some of their installations. Ipsun has taken full advantage of all of our training materials, courses, design support, tech support and sales support. Ipsun consistently produces flawless installations of our product because their team took the time to learn all of our best practices.Installers get a lot of love from their clients but, speaking as a representative of a company that Ipsun is a client of, they deserve credit for their due diligence from start to finish.I work with solar installers in every part of the country and this team really stands out!

Working with Ipsun Solar on a large residential project in Maryland was amazing. Every step, from planning to completion, was organized and communicated clearly. There were no surprise invoices and they handled all utility permitting for us. Their app shows all real-time functionality of solar panels and they provided all docs needed for the tax incentives come tax time. Install itself was a breeze. just a few days for a very large home. 5 stars!

Ipsun was FANTASTIC. I have undertaken dozens of construction projects. Ipsun was absolutely top of the list. Every person was great, friendly, Smart, and totally professional. They are a great firm. Don’t hesitate to use them!

Of all the companies I talked to about my solar installation, Ipsun was head and shoulders above the rest in terms of clarity, openness, and thoroughness. The install went smoothly and we love being solar-powered!

    Commercial Solar Panels

Solar power is getting more and more popular not only among residential owners, but also with commercial projects. Solar panels are considered a Smart investment, plus they can alleviate the electricity bill of a company. Not only do PV modules provide you with green energy, they also improve the public image of your enterprise. By using solar panels, businesses show that they care about reducing carbon footprint and ensuring a better future for our planet.

    What are commercial solar panels?

Solar panels for commercial use are usually monocrystalline. Polycrystalline and thin-film panels are cheaper, but have lower efficiency and thus produce less energy. There are other types of panels that are used in commercial systems, like bifacial panels, concentrated PV cells modules or integrated panels. However, they are much more expensive and aren’t that widespread on the solar market.

Choosing the right panels for commercial use

Commercial solar panels are usually more powerful than PV modules for residential use. Space is rarely the issue with commercial installations, so it makes sense to go for bigger panels: 72-cell, 96-cell, 120-cell or even 144-cell PV modules. Bigger panels allow you to build a system of the same energy production with less modules. Due to the same reason, commercial solar systems are more efficient than residential ones on average.

The installation of commercial systems usually takes place on the flat roof or on the ground, which makes the whole process cheaper and easier. However, the scale of a system is bigger, so the whole installation process sometimes can take several months.

Before the purchase, think about the positioning of your panels and the weather in your area. Is it hot there? Will your panels get enough sunlight? Will they be subjected to shading? Depending on the answers, it makes sense to pick panels that will perform best in your circumstances. Some models show great efficiency on cloudy days, some have high shading tolerance, some barely lose power output at high temperatures.

Technical features of commercial solar panels

    • A frame from anodized aluminum makes a module very durable and resistant to hail, wind and storms.
    • High wattage and a bigger number of solar cells allow you to produce more energy from a square foot.
    • Easy installation
    • Compatibility with 12V, 24V and 48V systems.

What is the average price of commercial solar panels?

Commercial solar panel cost per watt is usually lower than it is with residential panels, because the scale of installation is bigger. The price of a panel depends on the manufacturer. You can get a cheaper module from a Chinese brand, but European and Japanese companies offer products of the highest quality. Commercial solar panels for sale in our store have a price range between 150 and 550. Don’t forget that you can reduce the cost of a system with the Federal Solar Tax Credit (ITC) program. In 2021-2022 the state proposes a tax credit worth 26% of the solar system cost. In 2023 it decreases to 23% and after 2024 you’ll get no more than 10% refund.

Don’t let the cost of a solar system scare you. There is a reason why solar power is called a Smart investment. On average, a solar panel system in the USA pays for itself in 7-8 years. After that panels start to bring in profit. Since the average lifespan of a solar panel is more than 25 years, it is possible to say that a solar system pays for itself 3 times!

Farms and rural small businesses can install a solar array and qualify for a USDA REAP grant that will pay 25%, receive a 30% tax credit, and receive an Accelerated Bonus Depreciation Allowance. When you take all of this into consideration, a 60,000 solar array could have a net out-of- of less than 10,000. Further, there are Federally backed loans to fund solar electric projects.

With the savings you will realize on your electric bill (because now your electricity is created with your solar array), the system could pay for itself in as little as five years. This could save you over 100,000 in the array warranty period, alone. The array itself is a great long-term investment, with the life expectancy of over 40 years.

Michigan Solar Solutions can help rural small businesses and farmers understand the saving and benefits of solar power and write the USDA REAP grant application for FREE (a 2,000 value). We can provide you with a free solar analysis to see if solar is right for you. Michigan Solar Solutions works with several financial organizations to help you get financing, including Green Stone Farm Credit Services.

Many times, a house of worship receives donations that they use for a new fellowship hall, youth center, or the like. Once this money is spent, they are forevermore saddled with increased heating bills, light bills, janitorial bills, and maintenance bills. This uses already scarce operating funds limiting community outreach and mission projects even more. Many houses of worship have instead taken the money and used it on energy efficiency projects and solar electric power. What this accomplishes is freeing up operating funds to do more community outreach and mission projects.

Michigan Solar Solutions feel that municipal entities (cities, towns, and townships) have more than an opportunity, they must lead renewable energy efforts. Increasingly, people consider a community commitment to the environment when choosing where to live and where to do business.

Be a leader with green energy to help run your buildings or programs. Solar power has many benefits beyond saving energy:

Michigan Solar Solutions believes that to propagate the deployment of solar, we require education to mold the minds of our children. What better way to teach your students about green power, solar panels, and wind turbines than to have them installed in your school district? and more, parents include green values when choosing schools for their children. Michigan Solar Solutions staff has more than 25 years of experience supporting Michigan Schools, either with green power, grant assistance, or in other industries.

Will Solar Panels Work in Ohio?

The short answer is yes. But first, let’s explore a bit about how we estimate solar production.

Solar power estimates are based on a measurement called a Peak Sun Hour (PSH). A PSH represents the amount of solar energy available during a day. The average PSH in Ohio is 4.15 hours per day (based on fixed-tilt solar panels).

    For comparison, look at Germany.

Germany is not known as a sun-drenched country. However, Germany has long been a leader in global solar output. In 2014, Germany produced 177 GW from solar power (1 GW is about equal to the output of a large natural gas or nuclear power plant.)
