Principle of 12v mppt solar charge controller
The 24v mppt solar charge controller can detect the generation voltage of the solar panel in real time, and track the maximum voltage and current (VI), so that the system can charge the battery with the maximum power output. Used in solar photovoltaic system, to coordinate the work of solar panels, batteries, load, is the brain of the photovoltaic system.
To charge the battery, the output voltage of the solar panel must be higher than the current voltage of the battery. If the voltage of the solar battery plate is lower than the battery voltage, the output current will be close to 0. So for the sake of safety, when leaving the factory, the peak voltage of solar panels (Vpp) is about 17V, which is the ambient temperature of 25 degrees C standard setting. When the weather is very hot, the peak voltage Vpp solar panels will be reduced to about 15V, but in the cold weather, the peak voltage can reach 18V.
We compare the difference between the 12v mppt solar charge controller and the conventional solar controller. The traditional solar charging and discharging controller is a bit like a manual gear box, when the engine speed increases, if the gear box can not be increased accordingly in gear, it is bound to affect the speed. But for the solar 24v mppt solar charge controller, the charging parameters are set in the factory, which means 48v mppt solar charge controller can track the maximum power point of the solar panels in real time, to show the maximum efficiency of solar panels. The higher the voltage, you can output more power through the maximum power tracking, so as to improve the efficiency of charging. Theoretically, the use of 12v mppt solar charge controller of the solar power system will improve the efficiency of 50% than the traditional way. However, according to our actual test, due to the environmental impact and various energy losses, the final efficiency can be improved by 20%-30%.
In this sense, 48v mppt solar charge controller, is bound to eventually replace the traditional solar controller.

Four battery inverter system efficiency 95-99% directly use 48 volt solar panel with 24 volt battery
SPS Solar MPPT Charge Controller is the best MPPT Charge Controller that extracts 100% power from panels and boosts current. However ,PWM Solar charge controller, extract 60 to 70 percent power from solar panels. SPS solarcharge controller auto detect ,12V 24v battery bank. It supports LA, SMF, Solar batteries and with 4 stage charging (Bulk, Absorption, Float Equalize), it performs controlled charges and ensures longer battery life. In MPPT vs PWM test, MPPT charge controller circuit has 95% to 98% efficiency. MPPT solar charge controllers are useful for off-grid solar power systems such as stand-alone solar power system ( ups ), solar home system and solar water pump system, etc.

MPPT controllers operate solar panels at their Maximum Power Point improving efficiency up to 30% by adjusting input voltage to harvest the maximum power from the solar panels. It then manages this power to supply the varying voltage requirement of the battery plus load.
The MPPT senses when to adjust the output that it is being sent to the battery and will shut down for a few microseconds, calculate and make relevant adjustments. The principle of MPPT is to extract the maximum possible power from a solar panel by setting the most efficient combination of voltage and current. maximum power point.
Load output will prevent the battery from becoming totally flat [which can cause damage]. A preset discharge level can be configured at which point the SmartSolar will disconnect the load preventing the battery draining further.
Alternatively, the inbuilt intelligent battery management feature in the SmartSolar can be set. Known as Battery Life the feature is designed to protect and better maintain your battery by ensuring 100% recharge is regularly reached. SmartSolar attempts a daily 100% recharge. During periods of poor weather or low light conditions, it raises the disconnect voltage until successful.
Built-in Bluetooth along with the VictronConnect App provides easy access to the extensive range of functions available on your solar charge controller such as:

- Solar Gauge – Realtime power output
- Battery Voltage
- Battery Current
- Battery State
- Load Output [100/20 and smaller]
- Load current – shows the current being drawn by appliances
