Of course it is very rugged, but please be careful to not over bend or scratch the panels.

Might take a while but it has 3 USB connections.

All the solar panels need to be exposed under direct sunlight, otherwise, the solar panels that are not exposed to the sun will become resistors, making it impossible to charge.

    What are Customers are Saying:

I could not be more pleased with my purchase. The thing came mostly charged and ready to go, tested out charging it in the sun and it worked great, even from inside my window. The thing is built like a tank too, I am excited to take this thing out with me and see how it handles.

Charging my iPhone 8 wirelessly on this thing is such a great feature. I used it while out camping, let it charge then flipped it over after an hour or so and charged up my phone while listening to music, can’t beat it. I have owned a couple of battery banks too, but none that can wirelessly charge and recharge with solar.

Well I really put the waterproof to the test, accidentally had left it out in the yard after doing some work and it got poured on all night. DIDN’T AFFECT IT AT ALL. I was amazed that I didn’t have to try anything to it to make sure it wouldn’t be damaged. My Bluetooth speaker hooked up to it…. Not so lucky.

reviews for DuraHub – QI Wireless Phone Charger USB Power Bank – Solar – Ultra Capacity

I did a ton of research before buying this Solar Power Bank and chose this one for its features as well as the perfect rating… and it has not disappointed. At 20,000mAh it has the ability to charge quite a few other devices before it needs a charge. Typically, I just use the solar charge feature to charge it even while away from an electrical outlet. The solar charge feature will charge more slowly but does still give it more juice to keep your electronics running. This product is perfect for those who spend much time outdoors away from any grid, like camping for days or more at a time. The this is a tank as well – it has the power that can withstand the rigors of outdoor use.

I phone 6 user, full charge good for a weekend, fast 6hour charge with a high end c-type charger. Flashlight a big plus, not exactly waterproof. Quality and economy.

Although this is advertised as a solar power charger, the directions say that solar is only a backup and if you leave it it in the “burning sun” too much, it will damage the product. Not exactly what I wanted when I wanted to go solar.

Charger works great. It’s definitely more of a power bank then a solar charger. Held enough charge to power my JBL speakers and my phone twice.

So far this product seems to be the answer to our phone charging dilemma while out dry camping. We have solar for the travel trailer but charging the phones takes up a bunch of battery power. This solar charger will make it easier on the trailer’s system.

It works fine. However, the instructions say NOT to charge it using solar except in an emergency because it will damage the solar panels! It says you should use the charger. That was disappointing. The reason I bought it was so that I could charge it with solar. Other than that, I like it.

I just used this charger for the first time and was pleasantly surprised at how fast I was able to charge my phone from 5% to 100% with plenty of power left over. Good to know we have a reliable power source for those unexpected blackouts.

Lightning fast shipping and a great product. I LOVE it. I wear rechargeable hearing aids and it charged them and my phone.

I bought one of these around Christmas for my son to charge his devices. We live in the country and lose power anytime it storms. We’ve used this power bank so much that I just bought a second one. This little guy kept 3 phones charged over a 3 day blackout for us. Super handy and easy to use. Highly recommended

This power bank provides tons of power and is easy to use. Like most power banks with a solar feature, it would take a long time to charge it with the sun, but that’s to be expected. Everything else works great.

I love it so much I’m buying another one today! I’ve looked at other chargers and nothing else compares to the features on this power bank price wise. Great product!

I was looking for something shockproof, waterproof, and super rugged for my search and rescue missions and other adventures, and this has filled all of those needs, and for an affordable price! I’ll be using this website for other survival needs in the future!

This purchase was a gift for my daughter. We have a couple of our own and are very pleased with them. I love that it is also solar powered.

These solar power banks are something everyone should have, multiple charging choices and the solar charging is quick. It is an emergency tool, my family and I have bought several of these. We use them daily, aside from these we have bought other items from Sirius Survival as well and all have excellent quality. This company has great customer service and quick shipping, as always I’ll be buying from them again. Don’t hesitate if your looking for quality and reliability.

Amazing product, my family and I have bought several of these and have gifted them to other family members. Customer service is A

Amazing product, I have had this solar batter bank for a long time it has never had any type of declines it is perfect for on the go charging and you will never need a charger!

This is an amazing product I will be buying a second one and I have bought multiple for friends and family and they have said they have never had a battery bank as good as this one.

Great product. I have had one for several years now on numerous backpacking trips and it was my only source of power. I just ordered a second one.

charger came 50% charged 3days ago. I have been using the solar panel to try to bring it up to full so far no luck green inducator lights up but the blue lights do not move left charger in sun for 16 hours and will continue to try today. I bought 2 of these units the second worked the same way so I chared it off the wall and it took over 8 hours. Product looks and feels good i like them a lot just wish they worked better if nothing happens today I am going to contact company

Hi Charles, based on the times you have shared above, I think these makes sense. The solar panel charging the device is suggested for emergency use, and the quality of sunlight makes a huge difference in the charging ability. The green light will turn on with any light touching the panel, but for it to draw a charge it needs full, direct sunlight (no clouds). Also to have the blue battery lights to show a charge it has to add 25% of total battery life per light (which for this battery bank is 5,000mAh, which is quite a lot.) Charging on the wall charger taking 8 hours makes sense for it to fill up to a full 20,000mAh, which will last you a long time from there. We apologize if you were expecting a full solar charging device, but for that you will need a much bigger solar panel and constant full sun. If you are still having issues please reach out to us and we would be happy to help.

This did the job I needed it to do. I fully charged it before going off the grid for a long weekend. Charged my phone twice(all I needed) and my watch. Excellent job. Best part was, I called the co. And they actually answered the phone and answered the questions I had. So exceptional customer service, thank you!

With a few small improvements, the OutXE Power Bank could be the perfect portable charger for hiking outdoors.

    Intro

I’ve had the OutXE power bank for almost a month now, I’d have normally tested and reviewed it weeks ago. However, I purposely delayed the review for a chance to use it on a hiking trip. I got back yesterday. I’m sleep deprived, my back’s aching and my legs are sore but I’m really excited to tell you guys all about this product!

    Design and Build

The PCPB8000 OutXE power bank comes in a quality retail box along with a carabiner, a USB charging cable, and user guide. The unit is the same shape as a smartphone except for the carabiner attachment. Its housing has well-rounded sides and neatly beveled edges.

Its length and width are practically identical to my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and it’s surprisingly thin too. At only 15mm (just over half an inch) I’m amazed there’s room for 8000mAh of batteries sandwiched between the LED lights and the solar panel.

The micro USB input is found on the right side, the power button’s on the left and there are USB outputs are on the bottom.

Between the ports, there are four blue battery status indicators and a single green LED that lights up whenever the OutXE power bank is drawing a solar charge from the sunlight.

The front face has 32 individual LED lights that measure 15mm square. The rear of the power bank features a solar panel which is set slightly back from the edge of the case. This should prevent it from being scuffed when laid on surfaces.

The overall design and build quality are just about as good as it gets. The only downside for me are the exposed ports. A soft rubber cover would have offered protection from dust and water.

    Features and Specs

    Power Bank

The OutXE power bank has a capacity of 8000mAh, this equates to roughly two complete charges of most modern smartphones. It will output up to 2.1A from a single port and has absolutely no problem charging two mobile devices at the same time.

    Solar Panel

The solar panel has a maximum efficiency rate of 300mA which is impressive for such a small unit. On a bright day with the OutXE power bank clipped to your backpack, you could achieve around 20% of additional charge.

On the second day of my hike, I fully depleted the power bank charging two smartphones. I clipped the OutXE to the tent and let it soak up the last of the sun for a couple of hours. This short charge was enough to provide us with light around the camp that night.

    LED Camp Light

In my opinion, the LED light on this unit is the best I’ve ever seen from a compact power bank. I’ve used plenty of portable chargers with built-in LED lights, but never like this one. It’s so damn bright, if you were to look directly at it, you’d be seeing a checkerboard of purple spots in front of your eyes for a long time.

Even on the lower setting, the OutXE provided ample light around camp. I had the unit tucked into a thin white plastic bag to diffuse the light a little and it worked perfectly.

The light is activated by the button on the side of the unit. One press for bright, another drops it to normal and a third activates the strobe.

Unfortunately, you need to pass through modes to turn it off. Ideally, it would’ve been better to long press it off, rather than cycle through the strobe.

    Verdict

It’s fairly rare these days that I get an opportunity to make improvements to my hiking gear, my kit’s pretty dialed in. With dozens of awesome power banks and LED camping lights to choose from, the OutXE power bank certainly had some stiff competition.

I’m happy to say that it’s earned its spot as my new hiking power bank of choice and totally done away with the need for a separate lighting solution for around the camp. I’ve made a weight and space saving without any compromise on my set up. I think the 8000mAh capacity is the sweet spot for a weekend hike, any longer and I’d probably have to take a larger capacity power bank.

Is it the perfect hiking power bank?

Not quite, but it’s damn close. If I had some input on the next model, I’d introduce covers over the ports for an IP-rating. I’d also introduce a memory to the light and a long press to turn it off from its current brightness setting. Finally, I’d introduce Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology. That being said, even without those improvements, the OutXE power bank is still an awesome product and at the current price, it’s an absolute bargain.
