I love my new Oupes 600W battery. It fits my needs perfectly. Great price, not too heavy, LifePo battery, placement of handle makes it easier to carry, not overloaded with fancy extras that I won’t use. Excellent screen provides all the information I need. I shopped around a lot before buying. I am very happy with the purchase.
I use it in my greenhouse with a small soldering iron. Perfect! It has a comfortable handle. It feels solid. Can’t test it with solar panels as we have not had “good” sun.
Nice Little Power Supply Great Customer Service I received my OUPES 1200 and it was super slow to charge. I contacted customer support via email and received a response the next day. Their advice was to discharge then recharge which I did and still took almost 16 hours to charge via 110 house outlet. I contacted them again with picture verification of the problems and they immediately sent me a return label and I received a replacement in three days. It’s light weight and portable, I tested a blender and toaster and it had plenty of power to run both.
Nice I spent couple of times researching which model to get and honest i was dazzled by it, there is a wide range of products in the market, they have similar function, but price vary greatly by different brand.Obviously big brand like eco-flow, jackery, bluetti product quality looks good but price is highest, i took time to read those review as well, found that theres quite a lot of negative reviews which persuaded me out. So i turn my eyes to something competitive, and decide to choose OUPES 600w 595wh, as it has a good price, also battery capacity is not small nor too large which best fits my needs, they dont have mass of reviews like other, but the reviews there looks real and pertinent. I have done a few test when it arrived, it works as expected, looking forward to the long-term accompany.
Excellent little power station When I look for an outdoor generator, the protection function is my first consideration.I dont want to buy a bomb to keep at my home. Fortunately, OUPES 600w portable power station is a good product and performs well.
Does what it says. Just received my 600W portable power station. So glad it was small and light. And with the winter coming, there’s always a few power outages in this place, this can easily power my TV, lights, and fridges for few hours
this is the best Needing something to power all my supplies while camping. Its good-looking, appears well made, is lightweight, and could work for my requirements. This is really nice.
Warm keeper in winter night It’s relatively light for what it is but it had enough power to keep my electric blanket, phone, iPad and light on when i lay on the sofa. Feel safe, cosy and warm in the winter night. Life is so good, and happiness level rises.
Happy shopping Great Seller Unfortunately there was a problem with the unit, the screen was dead, black, shows nothing. I contacted OUPES and got a prompt respond about this issue, they sent me a pre-paid label to return the faulty unit and also sent me a new item with no hesitation,I am very satisfied with their speed and good attitude in dealing with problems. And im glad that the second unit works great!
This power station is a powerhouse! This is not just for camping, use it at home. This Portable Power Station from OUPES is the first I have ever purchased. I also purshased their excellent 100W folding solar panels. After going through a power outage here in California for only 6 hours, I realized that I had no backup of any type. I had a small power bank that allowed me to charge my phone, but that was it. Now that I have my OUPES 600 and a folding 100W Solar Panel from OUPES, I have power for everything important: It powers my Magic Chef mini fridge/freezer AND my Whynter mini freezer. The 1200w surge feature allows compressors to start. It charges my laptop, phone, and several power banks at the same time. I want another unit so I can see if it will allow me to expand my application of solar in a rented apartment like I am doing right now. I love this unit. BUY IT NOW!
Quality, dependable product Rather i’m using this for off grid camping trips, or during power failures in Texas, the OUPES has lived up to it’s reputation as a top quality electric generator! I definitely recommend adding one of their portable solar panels, they are super compact and absolutely necessary for recharging when you do not have access to an electrical outlet. I actually bought a second OUPES recently, so i’m well prepared for whatever situations arise.
5.0 out of 5 stars Impressed so far Charges as it should and it is a good value for the cost. Running my laptop for 4 nights and had a 20% charge still remaining. And it also has a very bright LED light and I can take it outside at midnight. I haven’t tried solar charging yet, but I am considering buying a solar panel for charging my devices when camping.
Worth it! I’ve been using this pretty thing for about a week now. I’m satisfied with its performance. The weight is nice. The size is nice. The orange and black face to it makes it clear to look at. The outside is very smooth which makes it slippery to handle at times. Overall performance has been fantastic. I bought it for the size and power, both of which deliver as promised. I wish it looked better, felt better, and communicated better but it’ll do.
Kept us warm during Texas Freeze and power outage Kept us warm during Texas Freeze and power outage! We plugged in a heater, electric blanket, our iPads, and coffeemaker! We were able to stay in our home, while waiting for the power to come back on!
Practical generator, great loading ability OUPES 600W generator made my waffle (and made my day), and it can also can run my DeWALT fan, its out of my expectation, that cant be better. I took a video of it, but it seems cant upload here.
Very helpful for hurricane Because of the hurricane,I just want a power station for a long time.Search for two weeks at Amazon and Google to learn this unit. And finally I picked this one for my choice. After receiving the power station,I took it to be sure if it ran as it advertised and I was happy wtih the charging from OUPES.Very recommended and strongly like it.
Nice one Nice portable power generator!Easy to use and click the button and go, not heavy, and very well built quality! This little guy brought me much comfort when camping, powering my tent fan.
Perfect size! Very awesome! The size and the weight of the battery are very suitable for carrying. I personally use it during long road trips in my car, and it’s been working very well so far. I promise that you’ll love it
Best Portable Power Station I bought it to use for preparing a power outage. It seems to work nice. It did charge reasonably fast when plugged. For right now I am satisfied with this product.
Using experience for loading CPAP I bought this product for CPAP machine, this is my new try, i have a jackery, everything is good but the problem is if my CPAP working power consume less than 10watts then the jackery battery will turn off automatically, that really bother me, it means i have to make sure the power draw more than 10 watts, so i have to turn on the heater or humidifier to consume more power even if i dont need it, otherwise I have to wake up to turn the power on every three hours, and thats the reason why i decide to search for a new one. Before the purchase, i contacted OUPES to confirm about this auto turn off problem, I got a prompt respond from them and the answer is yes. I have a test first when the package arrived, i set a low consume mode which is less than 10 watts, and im happy to find that this product have solved my previous concern, no need to wake up to turn on the battery anymore and i can freely decide to use heater, humidifier function or not. It has been with me for more than a month until now, it still works well.
Little and Portable Compared with an oil generator, the power station is quieter and more environmentally friendly. Also, help me to save money by reducing the cost of oil. In addition to these advantages, the solar generator is smaller than the oil generator. I will pick this little guy with me when camping.
Sure For Camping I took the OUPES 600W portable power bank on camping. I was attracted to the lightish weight and the ability to charge from solar panels, and it seemed like a great option for keeping cell phones, cameras, and laptops charged while very much off the grid. As far as the battery itself, it’s great! There are plenty of glowing reviews here and on YouTube. Just a couple of tests are done on the last day. My cellphone took around 90mins to fully charge from 5% with fast charging.
Life saver Bought this for hurricane season, this was a life saver for people like me who have blackout for few days already, because theres no power from wall socket,so i have to recharge it by car, and i will purchase a solar panel soon.
Can support 600w It has a good price compare with other similar products with the same function and feature come, and i also like the material they use, it looks very durable. What suprised me is that I used it to connect my 600w mite cleaner, and the mite cleaner works properly.
Light up my Christmas light My primary need for this unit is to power the 10 strings of Christmas tree lights, secondary need as a backup battery for emergency or power outages. This power house seems to be well made, it plays a big role in our christmas party, and solved the impasse that we have to put the Christmas tree close to the the place where have AC outlet nearby, were very pleased with it, c’mon now, go get it, highly recommended.
Christmas Gift I bought my first oupes power station 3 month ago, it works great. Recently I found it was doing a christmas promotion with good price, so i ordered it again, this time i bought it as a christmas gift, its a good choice, and thanks god it arrived on time.
Great All Around Unit I was contacted by Oupes to do a review on their 600 Watt Power Station. I have had the unit for a few weeks now and am still in the process of testing. The unit has performed above my expectations in all areas so far. The main use I have for this unit was running my van refrigerator (Dometic CFX40 60 Watt). The Oupes 600 ran the van refrigerator for over two days which would equate to a weekend camping trip. No problems at all. I am using it now to power and re-charge small devices that I use every day: Cell phones (iPhones), Two way Radios, Small portable battery pack (Outxe), Scanner (Whistler TRX-1). I am posting videos on my YouTube Channel as I do more testing- BiblesnBarbells Channel. Thank you so much Oupes Production Team! You put out a great product. I cannot wait to test this unit with your solar panels. Anthony

Best Portable Solar Generators for Camping
Portable solar generators are probably one of the handiest devices for RV tent campers.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a full-time RVer, part-time camper, or a homebody… These things pack a powerful punch!
If you’re in the market for a small, yet powerful, quiet backup power source, look no further.
We’ve got the 5 best portable solar generators for you here:
How Do Portable Solar Generators Work?
First, portable solar generators are not generators – at least not in the sense that we usually think of.
Portable solar generators are actually high-capacity batteries, usually lithium.
Solar generators are quiet – they don’t have an engine or run off of fuel combustion. These portable generators generate electricity from the sun using solar panels and store it in the battery until use
They can be charged with solar panels that plug directly into the device. Some can even be charged by your car when it’s running, or by plugging into a regular power outlet.
Different Sized Portable Solar Generators for Differing Power Needs
So, how do you know what size you need? As you may have noticed, these generators come in many different sizes (and price points).
Solar generators are typically best used as a backup power source to run or charge things like your lights and electronic equipment. They are generally not able to power high-power consumption electrical equipment.
To determine the proper size solar power bank for you, you need to consider your power needs and what you will be using it for.
Smaller portable solar power banks will generally be fine for you if you have low power consumption needs – like running a few LED lights and charging your phone.
If you have larger power needs, choose one with higher watt-hours.

Finding the Best Camping Power Generator – Frequently Asked Questions
What can I use a generator for?
A generator can be used to power any device that uses electricity. This can be as small as recharging your cell phone, or as large as a camping fridge, heater, fan, portable air conditioner, or even a portable pellet grill. What you charge will influence how large a generator you need (see below).
How does generator sizing work?
As a very rough guide, a generator’s power will be reflected in its size. In reality this means a bigger generator will usually be bulkier and heavier than a less powerful one. Some premium brands do manage to pack more power into smaller machines.
How do I supply power to a generator that’s portable?
The generators listed in this guide run on either solar power or gasoline. Some solar models also have a lithium battery that can be charged via the mains or a car socket. One gas generator listed can run on propane if required instead.
How do I find the best quiet portable generator for camping?
If you want small, quiet generators, then do think hard about how much power you really need. Using more appliances will require a more heavy duty generator – and this will usually be noisier. While there’s no such thing as a completely silent portable generator, the quietest generators around make great low noise generators for camping.
How much power do I need?
A small generator will do – as long as you don’t want to use high drain appliances. A small model can normally power a smartphone and larger devices with ease, but may struggle with kettles, fridges or heaters, for example. If you do have a lot of appliances, such as when camping as a family or group, then you’ll need a generator with a larger output.
What if I need more power in future?
A number of the generators listed here can be paired with another one of the same make and model. This gives you some from of future-proofing, as you can buy another if your power needs increase rather than starting all over again.
What’s “clean energy”?
Inverters typically create what is sometimes called “clean energy”. The inverter does this by creating AC energy, converting this to DC energy, then inverting that back to AC power that maintains a single phase, pure sine wave. This is MUCH better for sensitive electrical equipment.

ROCKPALS 300W Portable Power Station
- Manage your health off-grid
- Multiple ways of recharging
- Reasonable charging times
- Higher battery capacity
- Reliable emergency back up
Hailed as the best solar generator for medical devices and CPAP, the RockPals 300W Portable Power station is an upgrade from the 250W version. You can have the additional power when saving the lives of people. This is made possible by its higher capacity DC-AC inverter and a bigger battery that will allow you to connect medical devices that require more watts.
Unbelievable, but with its 280Wh lithium-ion battery, your continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machines can stay on for 2-3 days. Imagine how its power can potentially save a life! The manufacturer also suggests that to get more time from the battery; it is best to connect your medical machines to the 12V DC port via a DC converter cable. Battery power can be conserved this way; unlike when you connect it to the AC port, the battery will be drained quicker. The reason behind this is the inverter itself utilizes power.
Note that this is not a generator solely dedicated to medical apparatuses and devices. You can also connect small appliances to the 120V AC outlet. The five DC ports have four 12Vs and one 24V. Here, you can charge your smartphones, tablets, and other devices that can be connected using a USB port. Another tip to be able to charge at a faster pace is to connect to the USB ports with a Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
As for recharging the Rockpals 300W, you can choose among the three easy ways to do it. This portable power station can be re-energized from the sun using any well-suited 60 or 100W solar panel. Alternately, you can connect it to your wall outlet, and it should be done in no less than 6-7 hours. It will take the same number of hours if you opt to charge it via your carport instead Don’t worry, a car charger and the adapter for the AC outlet is already part of the package when you get this product.
Another reason this is the solar generator of choice for you is it doesn’t limit you to your home’s confines. Not because a medical device needs to be connected means that you will be a prisoner of your machine. With the Rockpals 300 solar generator, you can power your device wherever you want to be. You have the freedom to go camping or join your family and friends on a road trip. You can ease your apprehension because you’ll have plenty of power and more to share.
A definite limitation though, is it doesn’t come with solar panels. However, the Rockpals 300W is still an excellent choice if you want to enjoy the outdoors and have reliable power for medical devices.

What Is An RV Solar Generator And How Does It Work
A solar power generator for RV is a device whose primary responsibility is to convert the sunlight into usable power or electricity. A lot of RV users or outdoor enthusiasts would consider getting an RV solar generator primarily to have reliable and constant electrical power wherever the roads take them. If you want the security of having your appliances and your devices work regardless of how remote your location is, you should get a power generator. Additionally, this is also the ultimate solution if you wish to power back up in case of emergencies.
These solar generators work via a simple process. As the sunlight hits the solar panels, an electric current is created. This electrical current is then fed into a charge controller which is tasked in regulating the amount of current that goes through the battery. These batteries are the ones that produce DC power, and an inverter is needed so that another conversion can happen, which is DC power being transformed into AC power.
AC power is what you refer to as the usable electricity that makes your RV appliances, like your microwave, blender, and laptops, function. This is the same power that allows you to charge your mobile devices, tablets, and power banks.
Types Of RV Solar Generator
Your solar panels would dictate the efficiency of your charging. It is best to get nothing but the ideal and most appropriate one. Understand that each type has its own set of benefits and drawbacks, so as a shopper, you must get to know these types before you settle on one. RV solar panels also come in flexible and rigid versions, another factor that you must take into consideration.
Overall, there are three types of generators for RVs that you need to understand. These are pure solar generators, three-way solar generators, and hybrid solar generators.
- Pure solar generators – this system solely relies on solar panels as its source of energy. There are only a few people who opt to use this type because of uncontrollable weather changes. RV users are not too keen on this because of the unpredictability of weather when you are driving or camping out. With pure solar generators, if the weather is cloudy, you won’t be able to harvest enough energy. Therefore, there won’t be enough or even no electricity at all to power your appliances and devices. This is not recommended if you are looking for a reliable and consistent form of energy wherever you are.
- Three-way solar generators – this is one of the most common solar-powered generator for camping and RVs. This is the type of system that will allow you to charge your power supply via AC either indoors or at your RV site. You can also charge it through your car battery and even better, through solar energy when you are just parked, and the sun is at its peak.
- Hybrid solar generator – not as standard as the pure and three-way solar generator types. This will allow you to power your solar generator through a combination of solar and other renewable energy sources like hydro or wind power. This is becoming popular because, aside from its all-natural and green source, the results are also dependable.
With a quick overview of the three types of RV solar panels, you can narrow down your list of choices and be able to make Smart choices on which one to procure among the many solar generators for RVs available on the market.
Benefits Of Using A Solar Generator For RV
For a smoother and better off-grid experience, it is a must to have a solar generator if you are an RV owner and outdoor enthusiast. Aside from the obvious one that it provides you with the power that you need, there are other benefits of using a solar generator for RVs.
Here are some of the benefits of using a solar generator for off-grid living:
- It utilizes renewable energy – for environment warriors and nature lovers, using a solar generator while traveling and enjoying the beauty of their surroundings without contributing to the carbon footprint is a huge plus. It is a clean and quiet option which our planet would be thankful for. Additionally, it doesn’t burn any fuel, so it also doesn’t contribute to pollution.
- It is designed for traveling – manufacturers know that traveling equates to bumps and varying road insolvencies, that is why it is intended to be more durable than your usual solar generator at home. It is made to withstand the bumps and humps typical along the way. Using a solar-powered generator for RV, which is specifically built for the road, you can drive with fewer hassles from grassy plains to the dry counties without leaving your whole journey up to luck and chance.
- It is 100% portable – it is just not limited to RVs, but you can use it at your campsite. Imagine having a more comfortable and safer experience with lights, fans, and mobile devices that are entirely usable in the middle of nowhere. You can enjoy the stars and the peaceful night inside your tent while ensuring that everything back home is good. With a solar-powered generator, you can have a better outdoor experience.
- It is cost-effective – it is a great way to save power, and the primary source, which is the sun, is infinite. Even during the winter season or cloudy days, there is still some sunlight, so you maximize the heat of the sun, and it’s free, too, so you can take as much as you can.
- It requires minimal maintenance – these solar generators require minimal to almost no maintenance at all. It doesn’t have any moving parts, so the possibility of parts breaking or being lost is zero. Once the system is all installed and set up, it can last for years and decades. Furthermore, there are no regular costs involved. If you want to upgrade your solar generator to yield more power, you can do so without the need to revamp your whole system.
Overall, the benefits you get from using a solar generator for your RV outweigh the limited drawbacks.
How We Picked
Selecting a portable solar power for camping or your RV would need to be well thought of and planned. This is an excellent addition to your camper and leisure vehicles and is undoubtedly worth the purchase. Don’t jump in too fast and close the deal on the first solar generator you see. It’s best to give it a lot of thought and consider the following factors before setting your mind and buying one.
- Battery capacity – you must ensure that you have enough power to cover your maximum average daily consumption. This is one of the primary determining factors in purchasing a solar power station. This is watt-hour (Wh) measurement. To give you a more detailed example of battery capacity, say you have a 1300 Wh battery capacity.
- You will need to charge the following appliances: 1 smartphone that requires 5Wh, your laptop that needs 13 Wh, and a washing machine and electric kettle that needs 1200 Wh. With all these appliances that need power, you certainly can’t charge or connect them all at the same time. You will deplete and overload your generator. Hence, purchase a unit with a large amp-hour deep cycle battery that can suit and meet your needs.
- Charging Speed – on average, most solar generators can be fully charged between 5 to 8 hours. It will take another 48 to 72 hours before you need to charge it again. This factor would heavily rely on your overall usage.
- Inverter Size – if a solar generator has a 1,000-watt inverter, then 1,000-watts of energy will stay running without the generator turning off. With this example, the highest wattage is twice of the repetitive wattage. This means that a 1,000-watt inverter will have a peak watt of 2,000. A solar generator is best when it contains a clean sine wave inverter so it can yield power as regular as it is indoors or outdoors.
- Ergonomics – yes, your choice of portable solar power, such as a 30 amp solar generator, should adequately supply you with your needs. than that, it should also have features to address functionality and practicality. Go for a solar generator with wheels and handles, so you don’t get stressed moving it or carrying it. Ergonomics would include not only the portability but also the weight and overall design. Thumbs up for those solar panels with aluminum frames that are more versatile and would last longer.
- Budget – another essential factor to consider is the money you will spend versus the money that you will eventually save. Also, there are many choices, from budget-friendly models to premium ones.

A: Installing power stations is usually plug and play if what you have is a pre-built solar kit. All you need to do is to plug it to an AC or to your solar panels to charge. Then you can start connecting your devices and appliances and start powering and charging them.
If the kit needs to be connected to external solar chargers, you simply must join it. If the power kit doesn’t have a voltage controller, you can purchase one separately to minimize voltage fluctuations when you are charging via solar panels.
Installation is simple and with available videos online. You can have the additional direction should you need further guidance.
Q: How to use it?
A: Using an RV solar generator is secure. There’s nothing much required from you. You just need to know your devices, and you should be good to go. A good reminder in using a solar generator is to check and make sure that you know the power rating of your appliances and devices and if your controller supplies the output that your electrical devices need.
To make it more understandable, if you are using an AC power and your power generator runs on a 110V output, your device must also use 110V and not 220V. It is the same with a 220V, both power generators and tools should be of the equal volts.
Q: How to maintain, care/clean?
A: Part of owning a portable solar generator would be the maintenance that it requires. Note that despite being portable, these generators are still substantial. You might need someone to assist you in carrying it because the last thing you want is to drop it and damage the wirings, inverter, or battery itself. You must be careful when moving and storing it.
Maintenance is straightforward. Make sure that it doesn’t get wet. Water can cause all kinds of damage to electronic devices. It can cause wires to corrode and parts to short circuit. If you are not using it, make sure that it is covered well. While in storage, you can regularly just wipe the dust and the dirt accumulated using a dry cloth.
Q: Where to buy?
A: A portable solar generator for RV and campers can easily be found and purchased. You can start with your local RV suppliers. Some RV accessories shops sell these generators, too. Home Depot, as well as Lowe’s, would also be worth visiting. Some of their retail chains have stocks, but not all sell these RV supplies.
The most convenient and reliable source to buy the best solar generator for camping would be online shops like Amazon. You can select the exact product and model of your choice and even ask questions before buying, which is useful. You can shop for a while, add things to your cart, and eventually remove them after going through the reviews and feedback of the users. After that, you just have to wait for it to be shipped directly to your doorstep, saving you the gas and the physical effort of going to the store and bringing it home. Aside from Amazon, you can also visit the websites of the different brands and directly order from there.
This product is a proven, high-quality AC power source, and you can be guaranteed that it can power everything that you need and even more.

WattFun 298Wh Portable Power Station Review
Everyone could do with a little more power, whether it’s staying off the grid for a bit or trying to survive an unexpected power outage. Power banks for smartphones and even for laptops have become commonplace these days but those can’t really handle large and essential appliances, not to mention charge phones, tablets, and laptops repeatedly. That’s where this new breed of portable power stations come in, pretty much gigantic, multi-functional power banks, and WattFun’s latest 298Wh package promises to be the only power source you’ll need for trips and emergencies.
Design
As with power banks, portable power stations also have to make a decision between portability and power. If you opt for a larger battery capacity, you will have to be prepared for a larger and heavier package. Go light too much and you will be skimping on the needed capacity to power devices multiple times over.
Among the power stations that we’ve reviewed so far, the WattFun definitely strikes a nice balance between those two opposites. On the one hand, it’s almost half the weight of the Jackery Explorer 1000 at 12.12 lbs (5.5 kg) but also has less than its power output. On the other hand, the 298Wh WattFun Portable Power Station is also larger and heavier than, say, the 6-lb Anker Powerhouse 200 but has nearly double the capacity, not to mention the ports.
Although it focuses on portability, WattFun’s design also puts an emphasis on compactness. Unlike other portable power stations, the box’s hand neatly folds down when not in use, allowing it to be stashed in tight spaces or even have items places on top of it. That said, since the handle does rely on a hinge, there is always a chance that the moving part will someday break due to wear and tear, unlike the unibody design of rival products.
Specs
The WattFun 298Wh Portable Power Station, model number WA-PS201, boasts of a large 96,000 mAh 298Wh battery. The company boasts it can power almost any that needs under 320W, including mini-refrigerators that sip 60W at most. Of course, that still depends on what you’re plugging in and what you’re plugging it into and, to its credit, WattFun definitely has almost everything covered when it comes to the variety of ports.
You have your usual culprits, like two USB-A ports with support for Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0 and one USB-C port capable of 60W Power Delivery. That might be enough for most devices but more power-hungry laptops like the 16-inch MacBook Pro will charge slowly. disappointing, however, is that you can’t charge the Power Station itself via USB-C. Ironically, you can charge it via the car charger if you need to.
Power Stations like these always offer AC outlets and the WattFun 29Wh actually has two of them, each putting out 110W of power. There are also two 12V DC outputs for good measure. All of these ports are on the front for easy and convenient reach and, as mentioned earlier, compactness.
Performance and Features
As far as actual performance goes, the WattFun doesn’t oversell its capabilities. Of course, that all depends on varying conditions, especially on what you’re charging. Fortunately, you don’t have to do the guesswork because of the built-in display that shows not only how much wattage you’re consuming but also how long before the battery itself goes out.
One problem we did encounter with this particular feature was it was prone to going haywire when the WattFun portable battery got overloaded with connections. It would suddenly display the wrong data, though you could poke the reset button with a sharp object like a toothpick or pin to make it behave properly again.
Portable Stations like these are often used outdoors, like camping, or during power outages. In those cases, you’d want to have a handy light source nearby. WattFun, fortunately, includes an LED light that has two levels of brightness and an SOS mode. And, before you get worried, the torch only used 4 watts of power even at its brightest, which was already extremely bright.
One other special feature that WattFun loves to point out is its use of Lithium Iron Phosphate. Without getting to the chemical nitty-gritty, it just means that you don’t have to worry about using the power station in higher temperatures as it is the same type of battery used in electric cars.
Wrap-up
There is a growing number of portable power stations in the market to the point that it is becoming more saturated and more difficult to choose between similar-looking options. Under these circumstances, consumers tend to gravitate towards more familiar brands at the expense of taking for granted potentially better products.
Balancing portability and flexibility, the compact WattFun 298Wh Portable Power Station definitely has the makings of such a product, though some rough edges may cause some to think twice about it. That said, it will also boil down to the price, and at 259 (199 with discount on Amazon) it definitely undercuts the competition.
